Chinese
homogeneous population of Hong Kong.
Sir William Peel's view of the problem

We sent him a despatch on 23rd February in which
this question of the registration of adopted
daughters is raised (No. 3 on 92615). He
has taken a genuine personal interest in this.
Muitsai question and proposes to give further
consideration to it when the report of the
League of Nations Commission of Enquiry into
the traffic in women and children in the
Far East, is published.
We should avoid getting into controversy
with Commander Haslewood on this subject,
as he is a fanatic and loses no opportunity
of misrepresenting anything which we say
to him.
